How it decides

The numbers are ESPN's
We rank by ESPN's projection for this week, for the scoring you pick. Each starting slot takes the best player who can fill it. The hardest slots fill first, so your flex never steals the only tight end you have!
Byes come from the real schedule
We read this week's NFL slate and flag anyone whose team isn't on it. There's no typed-up bye table to go stale! If the schedule won't load, we tell you byes are unchecked. We never call them clear.
Some players never start
A player who is ruled out, on injured reserve or suspended can't score. Neither can one on a bye. They still show up in your ranking, marked, so you can see exactly why.
Close calls get flagged
We graded ESPN's projections against the real scores in our own three leagues. Over the first three weeks of 2026 they missed by 4.6 points per player on average. So any start decision closer than that gets marked as a coin flip. That's honest, and it's really useful to know!
